The Hardi idea started in 1957, when Hartvig Jensen established the company. As a gardener, he needed a quality sprayer. So in 1957, production of the single cylinder pump began.
After a few years, the company expanded horticulturally and invested in large production facilities outside of Copenhagen, such as in Glostrup, Denmark.
Hardi sprayers were soon retailed not only to Danish, but also European farmers in England, Sweden, France and Spain. Through the 1970’s and 1980’s, Hardi expanded rapidly by purchasing various pump and sprayer companies all over the world and established multiple manufacturing plants throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s.
The Australian production site was established in 1998 in South Australia where 15000 square metres of modern development, manufacturing and distribution facilities can be found.
Hardi Australia is often the envy of other manufacturers when it comes to design, development and testing of spray equipment. This is due to Hardi offering sprayers which are ideally suited for Australian spraying conditions.
2017 marks 60 years of Hardi manufacturing worldwide, an amazing achievement that started from one mans quest to improve spraying efficiency and make life easier for horticulturalists and farmers alike. Thanks Hartvig Jensen.

Vince is Managing Director of Hills Irrigation and is supported by Lisa in an administrative capacity. Andrew, Isaac and Megan look after the day to day needs of both online and shop customers. As Project Manager, Vince is also responsible for installation projects along with his team. It is his responsibility to work closely with clients to ensure that scope of work is understood and followed.
