The Irritrol (Richdel) 2400 Series solenoid valve has been around since the early 1980’s. This revolutionary solenoid valve was designed with a “Jar Top” so that there were no screws required in in assembly. With one ring to hold the main body together, this made the servicing and replacement of the valve body easy and fast. In addition, the solenoid has a hard wearing and well designed valve mechanism so that while its designed for clean water, it can handle a little bit of dirt and rust. The coil on the 2400 series is a standard Toro/ Bermad style coil so it can easily and quickly be replaced if it burns out and the spare parts for it are readily available .

The physical performance of the 2400 series valve is also impressive with a flow rate of over 100L/min achievable with little friction loss. The glass reinforced body of the valve also helps as it allows the valve to withstand pressures of up to 1000kpa.

The 2400 series is the worlds most widely sold irrigation control valve as it’s reliable and great value for money.
