2. Wire up the controller

The first step is to wire up the controller to your irrigation system. The X series controller has  terminals for connecting the wires from your valves. The black or white wire is usually used as the common wire, and the other coloured wires are for the individual stations.

To wire up the controller, follow these steps:

Connect the black or white wire to the C terminal ( whichever you choose as the common).

Connect the wire for station 1 to the S1 terminal.

Connect the wire for station 2 to the S2 terminal.

Connect the wire for station 3 to the S3 terminal.

Repeat these steps for however many stations you have.

3. Program your watering schedule

Once the controller is wired up, you can start programming your watering schedule. The X-Core controller has three programs, each of which can have up to four start times each. You can also set the run time for each station.

To program your watering schedule, follow these steps:

Now turn the dial to run times Use the + and – buttons to set the run time for each station.

You can now set watering days by the + and – buttons. When a line crosses out a day, this station will not water.

The X2 controller can also be connected to Wi-Fi, which allows you to control it remotely using the Hydrawise app.

Turn the controller to the manual position and set a minute per valve, then turn the dial back to auto.
